Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
